A curated collection of paintings organised around the three foundations of the practice.

These paintings do not illustrate ideas — they enact them. Each work is an invitation to slow down, to notice what arises in the act of looking, and to stay with ambiguity long enough for something to shift.

The collection is arranged in three groups.

soft rebellion

Six works exploring the quiet power of tenderness, presence, and gentle resistance.

Blue Dragon — A slow, deliberate presence. Forms that refuse to be hurried.

Rabbit — Tenderness as a form of attention. The body held in its own warmth.

Yellow Madonna — Stillness as its own kind of power. A figure that needs nothing from the room.

Amazon — Quiet authority. A figure that occupies its own ground.

Dinosaur — Ancient patience. Forms that remember a different time.

Headless Horseman — Instinct in motion. Pursuit without the burden of knowing why.

mystery of water

Six works drawn from the fluid intelligence of water — its cloudiness, its clarity, and the states between.

Confluence — The meeting of currents. Sea all around, land left behind.

Tidal — Circular forms moving through a shifting field. Something planetary, something pulled by the moon.

Rock Pool — Where rock and water have been arguing for centuries, and water is winning.

Crust — What moves in the deep. Light finding its way through dark matter.

Watershed — An aerial view of where water makes its own decisions.

Bressay — A Shetland island at dusk. Land that floats, water that holds it, a sail that barely matters.

transpectivism

Six works that make perception itself the subject — paintings that change as you look, and ask you to notice how.

Riot of Spring — Where form begins and meaning is still becoming.

Broken Frame — Multiple geometries occupying the same space. The structure shifts as you look.

Neural — Two systems moving through the same space, neither following the other.

Stegasaur Smells The Gorse —Prehistoric Scotland when the sky spoke a different language.

Scorch — A figure between the ancient and the sky. Entirely unprepared for both.

Blue Turn — One form. Multiple readings. The painting holds all of them.
